Terms of Service

Last updated: April 26, 2026

By using the HalalManiacs mobile app or website (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Your account

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

3. Content you submit

You keep ownership of your reviews, photos, and other submissions. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and promote that content within the Service. We may remove content that violates these terms or applicable law.

4. Halal classifications — important disclaimer

HalalManiacs provides halal classifications based on submissions from restaurants, certifying authorities, and the community. We use clear tiers (Certified, Halal, Partially Halal) to indicate confidence levels.

We do not independently audit every listing, and we make no religious, legal, or health warranty as to the halal status of any restaurant or item. You are responsible for verifying halal status directly with the restaurant before consuming food.

5. Restaurant ownership claims

Restaurant owners may claim listings on HalalManiacs. We verify claims in good faith but are not liable for inaccurate claims. Approved owners agree to keep their listing accurate and to respond respectfully to reviews.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms. You can delete your account at any time in-app at Settings → Delete my account.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee availability, accuracy, or uninterrupted service.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is capped at USD 100 or the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months, whichever is greater.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app and reflected in the "Last updated" date above.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, excluding conflict-of-laws rules.
